The menu is ruthlessly simple-chicharrón en adobo, chicharrón en salsa verde, papa, frijol-at 9 pesos each. Order at the counter, receive tokens, hand them to the taquero, then graze the free salsa-guacamole-pickle bar. Cash only, 5 tacos plus a drink for 65 pesos. Tacos de Canasta Los Especiales is listed in the 2026 Michelin Guide as the first tacos de canasta ('basket tacos') stand the Guide has recognized in the city — steamed, griddle-warmed tacos sold at rock-bottom prices near the Zócalo.
